Job description
Our partner a marketing agency in Los Angeles is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern: Social Media Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship. As a Social Media Intern, you will be responsible for managing and developing content for their client’s social media platforms. You will work closely with their team of creatives, strategists, and account managers to ensure they are delivering top-notch content to their client’s social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage content for their client’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This includes creating social media posts, graphics, and videos that are on-brand and aligned with the client’s messaging and objectives.
- Work with the creative team to develop visually engaging social media content. You will collaborate with their designers, videographers, and photographers to create social media assets that stand out in a crowded online space.
- Collaborate with the account managers to ensure content is aligned with their client’s brand and messaging. You will work with their account managers to understand each client’s unique voice and develop content that reflects their brand identity.
- Research industry trends and incorporate them into social media strategy and content development. You will keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing and use that knowledge to inform the clients’ social media strategies.
- Analyze social media data and performance to measure the effectiveness of the social media strategy. You will use tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights to track the performance of the client’s social media accounts and make data-driven decisions to improve their engagement and reach.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in social media marketing. You will be expected to stay on top of emerging social media platforms, features, and best practices and provide insights and recommendations to our team and clients.
Profile
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in marketing, communications, or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.
Competences and qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to write compelling, on-brand copy for social media posts and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). You should have experience managing social media accounts, creating content, and tracking performance.
- Creative thinker with an eye for design and content creation. You should be able to think outside the box and develop engaging content that stands out on social media.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. You must be able to manage multiple clients and projects at once and ensure that each project is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and be able to take direction and feedback from team members.
