Our partner construction company in Boston, MA is seeking a highly motivated Project Management Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship. As a Project Management Intern, you will be an integral part of the team, assisting in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing the execution of construction projects.

Our partner is a leading construction company in Boston, MA with over 50 years of experience in the industry. They specialize in commercial construction and have a reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Their team of experts is dedicated to providing exceptional service to the clients and ensuring that every project they undertake is a success. As a Project Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and challenging environment, gaining valuable experience and skills that will prepare you for a successful career in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in project planning, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, developing project schedules, and identifying required resources.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget.
• Assist in project budgeting and cost tracking, including monitoring project expenses and preparing project reports.
• Conduct project site visits to ensure work is being executed to the required standards and specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, including analyzing client requirements and developing project plans that meet those requirements.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure project milestones are met and projects are completed within the designated timeline.
• Research and implement best practices in project management to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.

Profile

Education:  Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.

Competences and qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management software is a plus.
