Description of the company

Our collaborator is a company specialised in the sale of sporting goods, and located in Seattle. The company has several shops in the United States and is known for its high quality products at affordable prices for all. Their aim is to encourage as many people as possible to take part in any kind of physical activity. Therefore, they offer a wide range of products, even for lesser-known or less-practised sports such as curling or spikeball. Beginners and professionals alike should be able to find something to suit them in these large sports shops.

They are actively looking for a communications intern who can focus on creating new, rich and varied content. You will work with a young and dynamic team.

Job description / Tasks

– Write and upload content
– Monitor and update the company’s web pages and blog(s).
– Work with developers/IT staff to assess potential technical challenges in posting content.
– Assist in developing & documenting web content management procedures.
– Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns for specific marketing objectives.
– Keep abreast of best practices in web writing, web usability, web design and business/industry trends.
– Prepare internal and external communications, including announcements, press releases, quarterly company reports, presentations, technical documentation, sales materials, etc. as required.
– Understand SEO functions, and integrate keywords into product content.

Profile

Experience: Experience in writing and editing content; basic knowledge of SEO.
Education: Master degree in communication/marketing/journalism
