Job description

Our collaborator, a manufacturing company in New York, is seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join their team for a 6-month internship. As an Industrial Design Intern, you will work on a range of design projects, from product design to packaging design, and collaborate with a talented team of designers and engineers. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and develop your design skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• • Assist the design team in creating and developing product designs, from concept sketches to final production drawings.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new product development.
  • Create and present design concepts and prototypes to the design team and clients.
  • Work closely with engineers and other departments to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and industry developments.

Profile

Education:  Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Industrial Design or a related field.

Competences and qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and 3D modelling software.
• Strong design skills, with the ability to create visually appealing and functional designs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for design and manufacturing.
