Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using statistical methods and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Develop and implement machine learning models to extract insights and patterns from financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business problems that can be solved using data-driven approaches.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques, tools, and industry trends.
- Present findings and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Profile
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.
Competences and qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills: Data science interns should have a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics. They should be able to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive insights from the data.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science such as Python or R is essential. Interns should be comfortable writing code to manipulate, clean, and analyze data.
- Data Manipulation and Visualization: Familiarity with tools and libraries for data manipulation (e.g., pandas, SQL) and data visualization (e.g., matplotlib, Tableau) is important. Interns should be able to transform and visualize data effectively.
